Here at HannesTool we subscribe heavily to the old engineers axiom “KISS” meaning “keep it simple stupid”, in that vain we offer a simple line of steel. This collection of steel will do 99% of all turning and are what Hannes uses for all of his work.
All our steel is produced for us by Doug Thompson and is made of CPM 10V meaning Crucible Powdered Metal 10% Vanadium and is Triple tempered and cryogenically treated between heat treatments, this is as good as it gets. Like Doug says “nothing more can be done”!
We offer nine kinds of gouge and a skew all with the special “Michelsen Grind”as well as a parting tool.
