Description
The shorter lathe tool handles are perfect for turning spindles.
The large diameter is 7″ long with 3/4″ bore and will accept all the 3/4″ tang steel and any of the 1/2″ tang steel with the addition of a sleeve glued to the steel.
The small diameter is 5″ long with a 1/2″ bore and will accept the 1/2″ steel and the 3/8″ with the addition of a sleeve.
The steel can be glued into these handles because they are short enough to not have to remove the steel for sharpening. Or a shaft collar can compress the aluminum around the steel to hold it in place. Please purchase shaft collars separately -they are available on my Vector Page, specify 3/4″ for a small handle and 1″ for the large handle.
